This policy explains what information NepseAlerts collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain language because we believe you deserve to understand what happens with your data.
Last updated: 17 August 2026
When you create an account, set up a price alert, or contact our support team, you voluntarily give us information such as your email address, name, and the content of your message. We collect only what is necessary for the service you are using.
When you visit NepseAlerts, our servers and third-party analytics tools record standard log data: your IP address, browser type, operating system, the pages you view, the time and duration of your visit, and referring URLs. This information helps us understand how people use the platform and identify technical problems.
We use session cookies to keep you signed in and preference cookies to remember settings such as your selected sectors or alert thresholds. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features of the platform may not function correctly without them.
We use the information we collect to operate and improve NepseAlerts. Specifically, we use it to: deliver the market data, alerts, and platform features you request; send you the price and announcement alerts you have set up; respond to your support enquiries; diagnose and fix technical errors; understand which features are most useful so we can improve them; and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your data to build profiles for targeted advertising. We do not send marketing emails unless you have explicitly opted in.
We work with a small number of trusted third-party service providers who help us run the platform — for example, cloud hosting providers and email delivery services. These providers access your data only to perform tasks on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by Nepali law or a valid legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of NepseAlerts, our users, or the public.
If NepseAlerts is acquired by or merged with another organisation, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the service. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it for legal or regulatory reasons. Log data is retained for up to 12 months and then automatically deleted.
We take the security of your information seriously. NepseAlerts uses HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, and access to user data within our systems is restricted to personnel who need it to operate or improve the platform. No system is completely immune to security risks, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we review and update our security practices regularly.
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, request deletion of your account and associated data, and withdraw consent for optional processing at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@nepsealerts.com. We will respond within 15 business days.
NepseAlerts may contain links to external websites such as NEPSE's official portal or broker platforms. This Privacy Policy applies only to our platform. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites, and we encourage you to read their policies before sharing any information.
NepseAlerts is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the 'Last updated' date at the top of the page and, if the changes are significant, notify registered users by email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or the way we handle your data, please contact us at support@nepsealerts.com. We will do our best to address your concern promptly.
